Tools We Actually Use
We don’t sell many tools, but these are ones we reach for almost every day in the shop—and they’re the best companions for working with our hardware.
Side Cutters
These cutters are what we use to remove old plastic buckles from packs before upgrading to aluminum. They’re also perfect for trimming zip ties, cutting electrical wires, and handling small shop tasks. We even keep a pair by our 3D printer for snipping filament cleanly.
Knipex Plier Wrench
Our go-to tool for installing pins in the Pin Ladder Locks (up to 1"). It combines the convenience of an adjustable wrench with the precision of parallel clamping jaws—so you can apply force without rounding over bolts. We use it constantly for gear installs, quick fixes, and anywhere controlled clamping pressure is needed. Easier to use, cleaner results, and built like a tank.
